The fourth field conference is dedicated to the specificity of organising field research of contemporary Jewish communities across the post-Soviet space. We will continue to discuss the peculiarities of the "Jewish" field and introduce new studies in Jewish anthropology, folklore, linguistics, sociology, epigraphy and archeology. We will sum up the results of the 2021 field research season and consider prospects and plans for new studies. The effects of Global Pandemics on field research methods and approaches will be discussed (including the specificities of the online field and internet research).
We also invite specialists in Slavic Studies working at the regions situated close to traditional places of Jewish residence, who approach similar pandemic-related research problems.
